What better way to celebrate Fall than with this Pumpkin Spice White Hot Chocolate recipe made with delicious Ontario Whole Milk. This hot chocolate screams cozy in a mug and has the perfect combination of flavours that will satisfy anyone with a sweet-tooth.
You can substitute 1/2 cup (125 mL) white chocolate chips for the chopped white chocolate if desired.
In a saucepan, stir together milk, cream, chocolate and vanilla. Whisk in pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice to combine. Place over medium low heat and while whisking, heat until bubbles appear around the edge of pan and chocolate is melted. Remove from heat and whisk again.
Pour hot milk mixture into cups. Add liqueur, if using. Top each with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel sauce or maple syrup to serve. Sprinkle with shaved white chocolate and more pumpkin pie spice, if desired.
