You can substitute 1/2 cup (125 mL) white chocolate chips for the chopped white chocolate if desired.

Instructions

Step 1

In a saucepan, stir together milk, cream, chocolate and vanilla. Whisk in pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice to combine. Place over medium low heat and while whisking, heat until bubbles appear around the edge of pan and chocolate is melted. Remove from heat and whisk again.

Step 2

Pour hot milk mixture into cups. Add liqueur, if using. Top each with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel sauce or maple syrup to serve. Sprinkle with shaved white chocolate and more pumpkin pie spice, if desired.

Cook’s Tip

To enjoy the full flavour, don’t let it sit too long as the pumpkin will settle to the bottom. If life gets in the way, be sure to stir it up and reheat it before enjoying!
